We are currently looking for a Child Caregiver-Private Home to take care of our child. Please see the following employment information.

Job Details:

1. Salary: $20 per hour
2. Hours: 30 hours per week
3. The employee is required to be flexible to cover shifts, some weekends. Overtime may be required. Hours will vary from day, night and evenings.
4. Work Site Environment: Non-smoking, Scent-free
5. Work Location: 74 Seneca Hill Drive, North York, ON M2J 2W5
6. Employment Expected to Start on: As Soon As Possible

Job Duties:

1. Maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment for the child.
2. Prepare meal and snack selections for the child.
3. Plan and supervise structured, educational activities, and playtime for the child.
4. Provide educational training based on the child’s age, including out-door and in-door activities, games, reading, etc.
5. Take care of the child's emotional and psychological well-being, as well as the child’s social development.
6. Discipline child according to the methods requested by the parents.
7. Keep up-to-date records of child’s development, routines, and interest.
8. When necessary, administer first-aid or CPR to the child.

Requirements:

1. Completion of Secondary (High) School education is required
2. Previous experience in the same field and/or previous full-time training in the field will be an asset
3. First Aid Certificate; CPR Certificate would be an asset
4. Must be able to speak, write, read and understand English
