Job Description:
Yang's Family is seeking a warm, reliable, and experienced child caregiver to provide attentive care for our children in a private home setting. We are looking for someone who is nurturing, organized, and enjoys engaging with children through learning and play.

Responsibilities:
1. Ensure children are safe and well-supervised at all times within the home and during outings
2. Attend to basic care needs such as feeding, dressing, bathing, and diaper changes, plan and prepare nutritious meals and snacks
3. Follow established routines for meals, rest time, and play
4. Escort children to and from school, appointments, or recreational activities
5. Observe children's behavior and report any health concerns or developmental observations to parents
6. Support personal hygiene habits and encourage independence where appropriate
7. Maintain cleanliness in children’s spaces and ensure toys and materials are sanitized regularly
8. Provide a calm and compassionate presence to support emotional security and self-confidence
9. Apply appropriate behavior guidance techniques in line with family preferences
10. Engage children in structured and unstructured activities that promote learning through play
11. Organize educational games, storytelling, arts and crafts, and outdoor exploration
12. Foster social skills and positive peer interaction
13. Encourage creativity and curiosity through age-appropriate experiences
14. Prepare balanced meals and snacks tailored to the children's dietary needs
15. Manage child-related housekeeping, including tidying play areas, doing laundry, and keeping the kitchen clean after meals
16. Maintain records of daily routines or any significant events related to the children’s care if requested by parents
17. Light housekeeping duties related to the children’s care (tidying up, laundry, etc.)

Requirements:
Completion of high school or equivalent
Proven experience as a caregiver or in a related role
Ability to communicate in English
CPR and First Aid certification (or willing to obtain)
A clear criminal record check
Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children
Optional (but an asset):
Early Childhood Education (ECE) certification
Ability to speak a second language

Work Setting:
Employer’s private home

Wage: $20.00 Per Hour
Hours: 30-40 Hours Per Week
