About the Role
Pioneer Cruises is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent position based on-site at various locations. The successful candidate will oversee maintenance operations, supervise staff, and ensure the highest standards of safety and productivity are met.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise workers and projects, coordinating and scheduling activities
  • Recommend measures to improve productivity and personnel actions
  • Establish and implement work schedules, coordinating with other units
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Conduct and manage preventive maintenance programs and keep detailed maintenance records
  • Develop equipment maintenance schedules and recommend machine replacements
  • Develop and implement procedures for safety inspections and preventive maintenance
  • Supervise and mentor staff, including heavy-duty equipment mechanics, mechanical repairers, apprentices, and labourers

 

Supervision

  • Oversee teams ranging from 1–10 people, including:
    • Heavy-duty equipment mechanics
    • Mechanical repairers (motor vehicle manufacturing)
    • Motor vehicle body repairers
    • Apprentices
    • Labourers

Qualifications

  • Language: English or French
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Experience: 5 years or more in a related field
  • Specialization: Mechanical, with experience in marine systems and HVAC equipment
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance for machinery and equipment
  • Willingness to travel as required
