Education Requirements
College diploma or CEGEP certificate in one of the following fields:
- Accounting
- Accounting technology/technician and bookkeeping
- Accounting and finance
Experience
Minimum of 3 years and less than 5 years of relevant work experience
Workplace Environment
This is a fully on-site position. Remote work is not available.
Key Responsibilities
- Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
- Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
- Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
- Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
- Post journal entries
- Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
- Prepare tax returns
- Prepare trial balance of books
- Reconcile accounts
- Train and support junior bookkeeping staff
