Job Duties:

• Dig holes for good depth and ensure they meet space requirements.
• Remove weak, dead, broken, and low growth plants
• Water the plants considering factors like temperature, humidity, crop age and health.
• Protect berries from birds and insects using appropriate methods like bird netting and insecticides.
• Pruning the blueberries to stimulate growth of new shoots.
• Apply sawdust like fir, hemlock to the bed surface to maintain mulch and suppress the weeds
• Install trellis system to hold the branches in an upright position during harvesting.
• Harvest blueberries using Berry scoop/ hand rake.
• Load berries to the carts for transportation

Working Condition: Outdoors, wet/damp, rain/ shine, odours, hot/cold.
