LF3 is a functional training system that takes a results and longevity approach to training both online and in person. LF3’s goal is to make clients more resilient for life outside the gym. LF3 is the first and only group training environment that has the ability to customize the individuals training schedule based on their specific goals and ability level. The LF3 experience will provide high touch, high personalization and high customization to the client’s individual training needs.

ROLE SUMMARY

The Lead Trainer works in a hybrid role where they coach classes, and also have hours dedicated to supporting the Diamond Community Manager with hosting Rx appointments, subbing, scheduling, member inquiries, training and on-boarding new coaches, hosting evaluations and other day-to-day operational support.

The Lead Trainer should have an in-depth knowledge of programming and leadership. They should be able to speak knowledgeably about the client journey and properly identify and prescribe the most appropriate plan for the member’s needs. The Lead Trainer should comfortably know how to program a client’s training plan based on all available modalities Altea has to offer.

Compensation: $78,000/annum + $51/session for Personal Training clients trained

Term of Position: Permanent /30+ hours per week

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY – 67%

  • Be an ambassador of the LF3 Training System
  • Conduct initial and follow up Rx appointments
  • Handling member inquiries and concerns
  • Assist the Diamond Community Manager with assigning and appointment scheduling of staff
  • Facilitate LF3 Team Staff Meetings as needed
  • Assist with Studio upkeep and inventory of equipment
  • Generate and assist with LF3 social media content
  • Assist with organizing, promoting and executing Diamond Community events and challenges when necessary
  • Assist the Manager with class evaluations
  • Participate in other coaches classes at least 1x weekly
  • Promote the importance of results & frequency.
  • Work in collaboration with other LF3 coaches and Diamond Community Manager to improve and customize the Diamond member experience.
  • Ensure all participants are checked-in or appropriately marked
  • Urgently provide as much 1/1 and group coaching as you can during class
  • Ask for feedback from the participants.  Meet new members and ensure they receive a 5-star welcome and explanation of the class.
  • Interact with participants in class and celebrate all accomplishments, big or small.
  • Promote a warm and welcome environment.

Small Group Personal Trainer and Personal Trainer - 33%

  • Coach LF3 classes
  • Train clients one on one
  • Share technical knowledge with your clients in an effective, safe and progressive style.
  • Create and maintain rapport and prescribe appropriate and effective health and training program solutions to help clients achieve their fitness goals. 
  • Maintain a friendly approachable attitude while ensuring clients remain focused and ensure proper technique is used.
  • Instruct groups and individuals fitness programs.
  • Monitor recreational, sports or fitness activities to ensure safety and provide emergency or first aid assistance when required
  • Enforce safety rules and regulations

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES               

  • Bachelor Degree in related health science is required
  • Occupation First Aid Level 2
  • Fluent communication (verbal and writing) skills
  • A nationally recognized personal training certification OR group fitness certification is required and must be maintained throughout employment.  Additional certifications may be required to qualify for a pay level increase.      
  • Minimum one year experience working as a personal trainer and/or teaching small group fitness classes is mandatory.
  • A broad understanding of injuries, disease, and any conditions that may affect one's ability to perform exercise is necessary.
  • Clean Criminal Background Check prior to commencement of training and/or work.
  • Very strong organization, multi-tasking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • They have a deep understanding of anatomy, physiology and psychology.
