Wage:                          $36.75 per hour

 

Vacation:                     10 days

JOB DUTIES. The following duties will be performed in this position:

 

  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of a wholesale and promotional products business, ensuring efficiency in all operational processes and procedures.
  • Assess characteristics of products or services to be promoted to determine marketing and advertising needs of an establishment.
  • Advise clients on marketing, advertising, or sales promotion opportunities and strategies.
  • Develop strategies and related content for direct and digital marketing and advertising campaigns and implement them.
  • Develop and maintain social media accounts.
  • Prepare or oversee preparation of reports, briefs, bibliographies, speeches, presentations, websites, and press releases.
  • Act as spokesperson for an organization and answer written and oral inquiries.
  • Lead corporate gifting operations: ordering, assembly/supervision of assembly, and distribution.
  • Research and present creative options for gifts, giveaways, swag, merchandise, and apparel via industry software.
  • Contact suppliers for inventory, pricing, and shipping estimates.
  • Create purchase orders and send art proofs.
  • Track orders and assist with shipping where necessary.
  • Create client presentations.
  • Perform executive administrative duties.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, clients, and vendors.
  • Make executive decisions and ensure business continuity in the absence of the company president.
  • Train and supervise temporary staff and interns.
  • Maintain communication and information flow with accounting.

 

REQUIREMENTS. The successful applicant will possess, at a minimum, the following skills and experience:

 

  • A university degree or college diploma in marketing, advertising, public relations, media studies, communications, English, or a related field.
  • At least one year of experience working with promotional products and branded merchandise.
  • At least one year of experience in corporate gifting.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask.
  • Understanding of social voice, tone, and style.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate with clients and suppliers in a professional manner, both in person and via phone and email.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work fully in person, in a fun, fast-paced, and detail-oriented environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Proficient in Quickbooks.
  • Some experience with SAGE and ESP+ (proficiency preferred).
