Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Install drywall sheets on walls and ceilings, measure, cut, and fit them.
• Attach sheets to wooden or metal joists or studs.
• Safeguard exterior corners, cut and attach metal corner beads.
• Using a trowel and a broad knife, apply joint compound to joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks.
• Use a taping machine to apply tape across joints, then embed the tape in compound.
• After removing extra compound, let the coat dry.
• Sand and compound seams and joints in successive applications.
• Create coffered and acoustical ceilings, fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and install panels.

Requirements:

• Completion of High School is required.
• Minimum  six months of experience in the field is required.
