Duration:                                         Permanent, Full-Time 
Hours:                                              35-40/week 
Salary:                                             $38.00/hr 
Overtime:                                        As per provincial standards - $57.00 after 8 hrs/day, 40 hrs/wk
Observed Holidays:                       As outlined on labour.gov.bc.ca – 10 holidays/yr
Language:                                       English

Education:                                       Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience:                                     1 year to less than 2 years

Additional Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Solid works, Fusion 360 or Master CAM would be an asset.

Job Duties:

  • Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machine tools along with other production machinery.
  • Prepare and set up work material in accordance with CNC machine for production.
  • Repairing or replacing damaged equipment parts, as well as performing regular machine maintenance.
  • Read, understand, and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints.
  • Maintain work shift continuity by documenting and reporting activities, irregularities, and ongoing requirements.
  • Detect equipment faults or out-of-tolerance machining and, if possible, adjust the machine or notify the supervisor.
  • Measure finished product to ensure accuracy and specification Standards.
  • Follow safety rules and regulations to keep operations safe.
