ABOUT THE ROLE

A Logistics Coordinator plans and oversees the movement of goods and services. They manage transportation, inventory, and storage, ensuring everything runs smoothly from start to finish. They also communicate with suppliers, carriers, and customers, solve problems, and use special software to keep track of everything. Previous work experience in working in a manufacturing industry will be preferred but not required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Language: English (required)

Education: Post-secondary education in Business or Supply Chain Management is required.

Work experience:

Previous experience is an asset but not required. On the job training will be provided by the employer.

Wages: $36.00/hour

Additional benefits:

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
  • 35 works/week

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Job duties and required skills:

  • Planning and organizing shipping schedules by coordination with carriers, warehouse teams and production supervisors
  • Monitoring and maintaining stock levels in warehouse by conducting regular checks and maintaining accurate inventory records
  • Overseeing the receiving, storing and distribution of finished materials
  • Tracking shipments to ensure timely delivery and on-time arrivals and preparing purchase orders and invoices
  • Liaising with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials
  • Negotiating rates with carriers and suppliers and identifying opportunities to improve the supply chain to achieve cost savings
  • Communicating with customers to manage expectation and resolve issues
  • Ensuring compliance with all safety and quality standards by maintaining accurate documentation and records
