Business Overview

Chengheng is a Canada-based distributor specializing in the import and distribution of high-quality food additives sourced from established manufacturers in China. All products comply with international food safety and quality standards, including Kosher, Halal, HACCP, BRC, and SQF certifications.

The company operates within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector and works closely with third-party logistics (3PL) warehouses to ensure standardized storage, efficient inventory turnover, and timely deliveries to Canadian clients. As business volume continues to grow, Chengheng requires a dedicated Supply Chain Manager to oversee purchasing, logistics coordination, inventory control, and supplier management.

 

Key Responsibilities

The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for end-to-end supply chain coordination, with a focus on food ingredient sourcing, purchasing control, and warehouse operations:

  • Plan, organize, and evaluate daily supply chain and purchasing operations
  • Assign and coordinate projects across purchasing and warehouse functions
  • Manage procurement activities, including supplier coordination, contract review, and purchase order compliance
  • Develop and implement purchasing policies and internal procedures
  • Oversee inventory planning, inbound/outbound coordination, and warehouse stock control using third-party logistics providers
  • Analyze cost, quality, and delivery performance of goods and services
  • Plan and control budgets and expenditures related to procurement and logistics
  • Supervise, train, and motivate staff involved in purchasing, logistics, and inventory coordination
  • Oversee data analysis and prepare operational and performance reports
  • Support business growth by improving supply chain efficiency, cost control, and service reliability

 

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field

 

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience in supply chain management, purchasing, procurement, or logistics coordination
  • Experience in food ingredients, FMCG, retail, wholesale, or distribution environments is an asset

 

Technical Skills

  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to analyze operational data and prepare management reports

 

Additional Requirements

  • Willingness to relocate if required
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
  • Criminal record check and credit check may be required

 

Language Requirements

  • Bilingual (English and another language relevant to international supplier coordination)
