Bakery on Mavis - 5700 Mavis Road, Mississauga, Ontario, L5V 2N6
Full-time: 30/36 hours p/w - $40/45.00 p/h - 6:00 am. to 1:00 pm. 6 days per week. 3-5 Year minimum Experience
? Oversee pastry operations, including staff management, workflow, and production scheduling.
? Hire, train, and supervise bakery staff; conduct performance evaluations and mentor employees.
? Manage inventory, order ingredients and supplies, and control operational costs.
? Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food handling regulations.
? Develop operational procedures to maintain quality and efficiency in the bakery.
Specialized Baking & Pastry Responsibilities
? Create and produce authentic Portuguese baked goods and pastries, such as Pastel de Belém, Pão de Deus, Travesseiro, Queijadas, Bolo de Arroz, Toucinho do Céu, Ovos Moles, Bola de Berlim, Jesuítas and festive Bolo Rei, Malassadas, Massa sovada e Bolo de leite. Famous & Popular Pastries? Develop new bakery products and seasonal items to attract customers
? Train staff in traditional Portuguese baking techniques and modern pastry methods
? Ensure consistent high-quality presentation, flavour, and texture of all baked goods
