Job Description

A private household in Brampton, Ontario is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and experienced Home Support Worker to provide care for an elderly parent at our residence.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene

• Assist with mobility, transfers, and prescribed exercises

• Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals according to dietary requirements

• Perform light housekeeping duties including laundry, cleaning, and maintaining a safe living environment

• Provide companionship and emotional support

• Accompany client to medical appointments when required

• Monitor and report any changes in health condition

Employment Requirements

• Completion of secondary school (high school diploma)

• Minimum 1 year of full-time caregiving experience OR completion of a related caregiver/home support worker training program

• First Aid and CPR certification (preferred)

• Ability to communicate effectively in English

• Criminal record check required

• Must demonstrate reliability, patience, and compassion

Work Setting

• Employer’s private residence
