Position - Welder Supervisor

Job Description Position: 

• Oversee welding activities and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Review and interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine welding requirements.
• Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of related apprentices, machine operators, helpers and labourers.
• Schedule and coordinate welding work based on project timelines and demands.
• Perform quality control checks on welding work to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
• Monitor inventory of welding consumables and equipment and order replacements when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of welding activities and prepare produce reports.
• Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of workers who shape, form and join metal parts or products to specified dimensions, machine metal into parts, products, tools and dies or moulds with precise measurements and erect light and heavy metal products and structures.
• Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with other departments.
• Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies.
• Resolve work problems and recommend work measures to improve productivity.
• Train or arrange for training of workers and recommend personnel actions such as hirings and promotions.
• Ensure standards for safe working conditions are observed and health and safety regulations are followed.
• Set up machines and equipment and write programs for computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools.
• Choosing the best equipment to weld specific metals.
• Operating angle grinders and other tools.
• Lining up specific metal components using calipers, rulers, and clamp piece.
• Following all safety and health procedures to avoid accidents and hazards. 

Experience/Qualifications:

• Completion of secondary education is required.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• Relevant manufacturing industry experience i.e. Electrical components/ Resistors are mandatory.
• Machinery and metal equipment products manufacturing.

Salary:

$36.00 per hour.
