KANATA CONSTRUCTION LTDis looking for (9) Concrete Finishers for its busy construction company to work in its operations in Edmonton, Calgary, and its surrounding areas, in the province of Alberta. Flexible hours are available, minimum 20 hours per week.

Kanata Construction prefers candidates with (3) years of experience as skilled concrete finishers in the commercial and industrial settings, less experience will be considered upon demonstration of the appropriate level of skills. The company is committed to hire candidates that can handle heavy loads and are willing to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding and energetic environment.  Flexible and willing to work shifts.  Candidates must possess a clean criminal record.  No education required.  Language of work:  English. 

Salary compensation: $33.00 /hr. for minimum 20/hours per week. Flexible hours/days available.

Duties:

• Place and finish concrete floors, driveways, sidewalks, curbs, bridge decks and other concrete structures using hand and power tools.
• Apply architectural, exposed, patterned, or stamped,
• Broom and smooth finishes on concrete surfaces.
• Repair and restore concrete surfaces.
• Use dry pack grouting and epoxy materials.
• Cure concrete perfectly.
• Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials and direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade.
• Fill hollows and remove high spots to smooth freshly poured concrete.
• Waterproof, damp-proof and restore concrete surfaces.
• Application of hardening and sealing compounds to concrete surfaces.
