Title of position: Personal support worker – Krishna Sh.
Candidate is to care for an elderly person

Duties:

• Administer bedside and personal care

• Administer medications
• Assist clients in water (i.e. pool)
• Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
• Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk
• Collect specimens
• Launder clothing and household linens
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Plan therapeutic diets and menus
• Provide companionship
• Provide personal care
• Shop for food and household supplies
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals
• Cook

Terms of employment: 30 hours/week, permanent, full-time, mornings, day, evening, with
overtime if needed
Wages: $21 per hour
Public transportation is available

Education required: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate /Completion of high
school
Work experience required: 1 year to less than 2 years of previous relevant experience
Language required to do the work: English

Fluency in Hindi and/or Punjabi is required to communicate with person in need of care who does not speak English

Criminal record check will be required
Other conditions: Live in/Live out is considered & is optional (this is NOT a condition of

Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
