Job duties

• Assist drywall installers in positioning and securing drywall panels to metal or wooden framing
• Measure and cut drywall sheets to required sizes using hand and power tools
• Mix joint compounds, adhesives, and other materials needed for installation and finishing
• Hold and support drywall sheets in place during installation
• Sand finished surfaces to ensure smooth and even walls and ceilings
• Load, unload, and move drywall materials, tools, and equipment within the worksite
• Prepare work areas by cleaning surfaces and removing dust or debris before installation
• Assist with taping joints and applying compound to seams and corners
• Set up and take down ladders, scaffolding, and work platforms as required
• Clean tools, equipment, and work areas after completion of tasks
• Safely handle and store drywall sheets and materials to prevent damage
• Follow safety procedures and wear protective equipment at all times
• Perform other related support duties as directed by the supervisor or installer
