- Wage: $20.50~$25.00 per hour (Depending on Experience)
- Hours: 35~40 hours per week
- Must be available to work anytime our operation of 24 hours per day.
- Must be available on weekends and holidays.

Job duties:
- Bake and produce a wide variety of products including cookies, pastries, breads and specialty items at high-volume commercial scale.
- Accurately scale, measure, and adapt recipes for large-batch production runs without compromising quality or consistency.
- Operate, clean, and perform basic preventive maintenance on commercial equipment including spiral mixers, deck ovens, rack ovens, rack proofers, and dough sheeters.
- Monitor and control critical baking variables including dough fermentation times, proofing conditions, oven temperatures, and baking cycles to ensure consistent, high-quality output.
- Perform quality control inspections on finished products, checking for correct texture, appearance, weight, and taste; remove and document non-conforming items.
- Maintain and update daily production logs, waste tracking records, and temperature logs in compliance with HACCP and BC food safety regulations.
- Package, label, and store finished products in accordance with food safety standards and shelf-life requirements.
- Coordinate with production supervisors to meet daily output targets and deadlines across rotating shifts.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workstation throughout and at the end of each shift.
- Manage ingredient inventory including FIFO rotation, par level monitoring, and flagging low-stock items to supervisors.
- Train and support newly hired bakers on equipment operation, recipes, and production standards as required.
- Adapt efficiently to rotating shift schedules including nights, early mornings, weekends, and statutory holidays in a 24/7 production environment.
Job Requirements:
- Language: English
- Completion of Secondary
- At least 12 months of baking experience in bakery or commercial environment
- Must be available to work anytime our operation of 24 hours per day.
- Must be available on weekends and holidays.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 20 kg regularly throughout the shift
- Ability to stand and perform repetitive physical tasks (kneading, lifting) for the full duration of shifts up to 10 hours
- Ability to work in hot and warm environments for prolonged durations
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistent product quality
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills and a positive attitude
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with spiral mixers, deck ovens, rack ovens, rack proofers, and dough sheeters
- Experience in a high-volume, 24/7 bakery production facility is an asset.
- Food Safe Level 1 certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire) is an asset.
