Position Details

Position: Apprentice Carpenter
Company: 777 Construction Ltd. 
Company Location: 140 rains Rd, Kelowna, BC - V1X 4R6

Number of positions: 2
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time 
Salary: $37.00 per hour
Start date: As soon as possible 
Work locations: Candidates are required to work in various locations in Kelowna (BC) & other areas in Thompson- Okanagan Region (BC) as per the company’s work contracts with its clients.        

Job Duties

• Read & interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications under the guidance of a senior carpenter.
• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials such as wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel under supervision.
• Prepare job layouts and perform basic calculations as directed.
• Install and fit trim work such as doors, stairs, moldings, cabinets, and hardware.
• Work with other carpenters on residential and commercial projects involving new construction, renovations, and additions
• Construct structural components including foundations, floor beams, subflooring, walls, and partitions.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, trim, and hardware components.
• Follow instructions to maintain a clean and safe work area and adhere to site safety protocols.

Job Requirements

• Completion of Secondary School
• Completion of an apprenticeship program in a relevant trade or Minimum 3 years of experience in the trade is required
• Ability to communicate in English

•     Financial assistance for relocation from other provinces or regions will be provided for up to $1000.00 for qualified candidates.
