Doris Brown and her family are in search of a home support worker. Ms. Doris Brown suffers from health conditions that prevent her from going through her day-to-day function, and therefore requires a home support worker so she may have necessary support.

Duties and responsibilities

• Provide safety, care, and companionship for Doris, especially for cognitive stimulation due to deterioration of memory
• Administer bedside and personal care to Doris, such as assistance with personal hygiene, dressing, undressing
• Plan and prepare meals and special diets for Doris
• May perform routine housekeeping duties such as laundry, washing dishes, making beds, etc.
• May perform routine health duties, inclusive of accompanying to hospital visits, doctor visits, chiropractor appointments, and the like
• Help Doris with ADL’s per her elderly needs and need for supervision due to failing eye sight which requires special attention due to safety concerns.

Requirements

• Ability to speak English
• 1 year minimum of home management experience
• First aid certification required
• Desirable personality traits, including emotional intelligence, empathy, kindness
• Additional experience in the food industry is an asset
