Currently, we are looking for a Commercial Foodservice Appliance Technician to join our team. 

 

Job responsibilities:

  • Conduct voltage, resistance, and other electrical tests to identify appliance and equipment malfunctions.

  • Review equipment schematics and manufacturer manuals to determine appropriate repairs and component replacements.

  • Troubleshoot appliance and equipment faults using testing instruments and diagnostic devices.

  • Service and repair electrical appliance components used in the facility’s daily operations.

  • Operate shop tools and specialized diagnostic and programming equipment to adjust, repair, and configure appliances.

  • Inspect and test equipment following servicing or repairs to verify safe and proper operation.

  • Maintain records of completed repairs and servicing and report equipment conditions or concerns to the supervisor.

 

Requirements: 

  • Secondary school education required.

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in commercial appliance servicing, repair, maintenance, or a related field is required.

  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical components, troubleshooting, and diagnostic procedures is required.

  • Experience using hand tools, shop equipment, and specialized diagnostic equipment is required.

  • Appliance Service Technician trade certification is an asset.

  • On-the-job training provided to enhance existing skills and familiarize employees with company-specific equipment, standards, and safety procedures.

  • Ability to work safely in a commercial food-processing environment.

  • Flexible availability is required, including weekends and holidays when needed.
