A Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, data analytics, information technology or a related discipline, or completion of a college program in computer science, information systems, information technology or a related field.
Experience
2 years to less than 3 years
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in business systems analysis, business data analysis, information systems, business process analysis, systems implementation or a related field.
Tasks
- Confer with clients, management, immigration consultants and other system users to identify and document business and information-system requirements for customer relationship management (CRM), immigration case-management, document-management, client-intake, scheduling, payment-processing and reporting systems, and liaise with software vendors, technology teams and support teams to clarify requirements.
- Document technical, functional and business requirements to ensure that products, processes and information-system solutions meet business requirements and support efficient immigration-service workflows.
- Prepare cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to support the selection and implementation of new software, system integrations, automation tools and information-system enhancements.
- Design, develop, integrate, test and implement information-systems business solutions, including automated workflows and integrations across CRM, immigration case-management, document-management, accounting, communication, scheduling, payment-processing and reporting systems.
- Provide advice to management on information-systems strategy, policy, management, security, software utilization, data management and technology-enabled service delivery.
- Develop information-system policies, procedures and contingency plans to minimize the operational effects of security breaches and support the continuity and reliability of business-system processes.
- Conduct reviews to assess quality-assurance practices, software products and information systems, identify system deficiencies and recommend customized system and process improvements to improve reliability, performance and efficiency.
- Resolve conflict situations related to business requirements, system functionality or system implementation by coordinating between business users, software vendors, technology teams and support teams.
- Analyze business processes and implement robotic process automation to reduce repetitive tasks, improve data flow and streamline immigration case-management, client-service and internal business workflows.
- Conduct usability testing of information systems, software applications and workflow enhancements to confirm that solutions meet documented user and business requirements and are practical for staff use.
- Execute and document the results of software-application and information-system tests to verify the reliability, accuracy and functionality of system changes, integrations and enhancements; identify defects and coordinate required corrections with technology and support teams.
- Analyze users' requirements and design and develop system architecture, process maps, functional specifications and technical specifications for new information systems, integrations and system enhancements supporting the immigration practice.
