Mickey's Jamaican Jerk Restaurant opened in August 2020 in Hamilton, Ontario. The business is currently expanding with a new franchise location in Alberta. The restaurant specializes in Jamaican cuisine, offering a variety of traditional dishes, including jerk chicken, oxtail, curried goat, fried chicken and other Jamaican-style meals and sides.
We are looking for a reliable Restaurant Supervisor to join our team.
Supervise and coordinate restaurant staff involved in food preparation, portioning and customer service.
Prepare staff schedules, assign daily duties and coordinate shift activities to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
Train new and existing employees on job duties, food handling, sanitation, customer service and established franchise procedures.
Monitor staff performance and provide guidance to maintain efficient service and operational standards.
Estimate food and supply requirements and coordinate orders to maintain adequate inventory for daily operations.
Monitor food preparation, portioning and service to ensure established quality, sanitation and safety standards are maintained.
Maintain records of inventory, stock, sales and food wastage.
Assist with the selection, training and onboarding of new restaurant staff.
Address routine customer concerns and resolve operational issues during daily service.
Assist with implementing established operating procedures and franchise standards at new restaurant locations.
Completion of secondary school is required.
College education in food service administration, restaurant management, or a related field, or several years of experience in food preparation or food service, is required.
Minimum 3 years of restaurant or food service experience, including supervisory experience, is required.
Experience supervising and training restaurant or food service staff is required.
Experience with staff scheduling, inventory control and daily restaurant operations is required.
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation and quality control procedures is required.
Strong organizational, communication and customer service skills.
Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel between restaurant locations as required.
Ability to work flexible shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and opening or closing shifts, as required.
