The company provides installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services to restaurants, bakeries, butcher shops, food-processing facilities, and other commercial food-service establishments throughout Ontario. 

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Food Equipment Mechanic to join our team.

Job Duties:

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, overhaul, and repair commercial food-processing, food-service, packaging, and kitchen machinery and mechanical equipment.

• Inspect machinery and equipment to identify malfunctions and determine repair requirements.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and power transmission systems using testing and diagnostic equipment.

• Repair, replace, and adjust defective mechanical components on commercial mixers, meat-processing machinery, bakery equipment, vacuum packaging systems, slicers, grinders, and other commercial food-processing machinery.

• Perform welding and fabrication repairs on machinery and equipment components as required.

• Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and equipment specifications.

• Test repaired equipment to ensure proper operation and compliance with safety standards.

• Clean, lubricate, perform preventive maintenance, and maintain service and repair records.

Employment Requirements:

• Completion of secondary school is required.

• Technical training in mechanics, equipment repair, industrial maintenance, agricultural technology, or a related field is an asset.

• Minimum 4 years of experience repairing and maintaining commercial kitchen equipment, food-processing equipment, commercial food-service equipment, or related mechanical systems is required.

• Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems is required.

• Welding experience is an asset.

• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.

• Fast-paced and physically demanding environment requiring manual dexterity and the ability to handle heavy equipment.
