Job Description

 Pinnacle Propane Services Ltd. is looking for 1 Truck Driver for full time permanent position in the company.  Following is the job description and requirements for the position

 Salary: $34.62/hour for 30 hours/week

 Experience: At least 1 year of experience

 Job Description:

  • Operate and drive, Pinnacle Propane Services trucks to transport goods and materials over local, and short distances
  • Perform preventive maintenance and safety procedures;
  • Pay and receive payments for goods;
  • Load and unload goods;
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch;
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials;
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo;
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment; Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption;
  • Perform pre-trip, enroute and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Communicate with dispatcher, other drivers using available devices and computers
  • Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns
  • Coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques
  • Professionalism in customer service
  • Drive lighter, special purpose trucks
  • Load and unload goods
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Pay and receive payments for goods
  • Perform brake adjustments
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods
  • Prepare reports for senior management
  • Arrange for shipping documentation and the tracking and tracing of goods in transit
  • Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods
  • Plan and organize daily operations
  • Plan for changes to schedules and policies
  • Train staff
  • Establish and implement policies and standards for the transportation and storage of goods
  • Ensure transport compliance with regulations
  • Evaluate daily operations
  • Recruit staff
  • Supervise staff
  • Organize and maintain inventory

 Type of Travel:

 Local, Short Haul
