Flextech Industries Inc. is a leading customer-driven company in the metal expansion joint, flexible metal hose and industrial damper manufacturing industry. We are looking for a Metal Hose Forming Technician to join our team immediately.We have offices throughout Canada in Vancouver, Hamilton and Edmonton, as well as an office in the United States. The work location for this position will be from our Hamilton office at 596 Rennie St, Hamilton, ON, L8H 3P5. This is a permanent, full-time position of 40 hours/week with an annual salary of $83,200 plus overtime. Group insurance benefits including medical, dental, disability, and life insurance, along with RRSP will also be available after three months of probation. The language of work for this position is English.

The main responsibilities of the positions include:

• Setting up and operating metalworking machines, including rotating head metal forming equipment to form, and shape metal components to exact specifications, ensuring product quality and dimensional tolerances are consistently maintained
• Adjusting and controlling forming dies and tooling to achieve design profiles and geometric accuracy as per technical blueprints, using precision measuring tools and instruments
• Designing, fabricating, and installing custom dies and machine components for the production of new or modified metal profiles, working closely with engineering and tooling departments to implement new forming processes
• Performing high-precision TIG welding on thin wall stainless steel and high nickel alloys such as Monel and Inconel, ensuring weld quality and structural integrity
• Reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings, CAD files, and specifications to guide machine operation, welding processes, and equipment setup
• Operating manual machining equipment, including engine lathes and vertical milling machines, to manufacture, adapt, or repair metal components and tooling as required for the forming and welding processes
• Performing routine equipment maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues to ensure safe and efficient operation
• Providing guidance and support to less experienced team members in metal forming, welding, and machining practices

You must have the following qualifications:

• Extensive experience in metal forming using rotating head equipment, including die setup and control
• Expertise in TIG welding, specifically with thin wall stainless steel and high nickel alloys such as Monel and Inconel
• Experience in machining operations involving lathes and vertical mills
• Strong understanding of metal behavior during forming, welding, and machining processes
