Recreation Consultant

We are looking for a Recreation Consultant to join our team in Burnaby, BC, Canada.

Position and condition: Recreation Consultant, Full time, Permanent

Wage Rate and working hours: $36.80 per hour / 30Hours per week

Work Location: 4664 Lougheed Hwy suite 100C, Burnaby, BC V5C 5T5

Start date: as soon as possible

Main Duties:

-Provide expert advice and consulting services in the design, development and administration of sports, fitness and recreation programs and activities

-Gather information on current government policies regarding recreation, sports and physical activities and make recommendations

-Prepare research papers, educational texts or articles

-Perform administrative tasks on recreation activities for health care

-Write proposals and press statements

-Co-ordinate special events

Qualifications:

- Bachelor degree in recreation or sports admin, physical education or related or college diploma in a recreation or sports program

- 1 year experience in a related field  

- Able to communicate in English

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
